Bovine Extension Services

We are pleased to announce that PDS has established a formal relationship with Drs. John Campbell and Nathan Erickson to provide beef extension services for our beef clients. Dr. Campbell has been involved in teaching, research, and service at WCVM since 1991. Dr. Erickson has been involved in teaching, research and ruminant clinical field service at the WCVM since 2015.

Within this collaboration, Drs. Campbell and Erickson will:

  • Provide consultation on:
    • diagnostic plans on complicated cases
    • clinical actions regarding PDS diagnostic cases
    • clinical problems with multiple cases submitted to PDS in multiple times
  • Coordinate communications between PDS diagnosticians and clients on complex cases
  • Make PDS aware of diagnostic test development needs and participate in PDS’s test development planning
  • Make PDS aware of your concerns on its services, and participate in developing solutions

The majority of consultation will be with beef and mixed animal veterinarians in western Canada. If you encounter matters that fit the above descriptions, please give Drs. Campbell and Erickson an email or call.

Swine Extension Services

We are pleased to announce that PDS has established a formal relationship with Drs. John Harding and Matheus Costa to provide swine extension for our swine clients. Dr. Harding has been involved in teaching, research, and service at WCVM since 2004. Dr. Costa completed his PhD in in Veterinary Microbiology, WCVM in 2016 and is an Assistant Professor in LACS. Both are Diplomates of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (Swine Health Management).

Within this collaboration, Drs. Harding and Costa will:
